Eolas Recruitment has made a significant contribution to the community by providing funding to the Bray & North Wicklow Area Partnership (BNWAP) Bia Food Initiative for 2024. This funding has already made a meaningful impact, supporting local families and community groups working to alleviate food poverty in the Bray & North Wicklow area.
Jim Ryan, Managing Director of Eolas Recruitment, recently visited the BNWAP Bia project to meet with community groups and project staff. During his visit, he witnessed the difference this support is making, ensuring that up to 70 families and multiple community projects assisting homeless individuals receive food every week.
The funding from Eolas Recruitment has been used to supplement the food provided through BNWAP’s FoodCloud membership network. This additional support means families now receive ingredients for basic meals, bringing much-needed relief to those facing food insecurity.
The Bia Food Initiative plays a crucial role in addressing food poverty in the local area. Surplus food is sourced through FoodCloud, which delivers excess supermarket food to the Bia centre for redistribution. Partnerships with groups like WH Five Loaves, Sugarloaf Lions Club, and Extern ensure the food reaches those who need it most.
Speaking about the initiative, Michael Byrne of BNWAP said:
"Eolas Recruitment’s generosity has made a real and ongoing difference to people in need in our community. We’re incredibly grateful for their support and commitment to helping us tackle food poverty."
This funding underscores Eolas Recruitment’s commitment to giving back to the community and supporting those most in need. A big thank you to Eolas for their invaluable support of this vital initiative.
